A pearl is necessary. This Pearl is necessary, and in making it I was stripped to only the shadow of my voice until I was able to grow my voice around it. This acoustic release is stripped back, all the way back to the ancient gods of the threshold and the sound of the saliva in my mouth. A pearl is a place for something that has no place in its world. This Pearl is a place for those who need somewhere to stay the night with their darkness.
